Captain Manuel Mendez

The mission of the Investigations Bureau is to provide investigative expertise to the citizens of our city in an effort to enhance public safety. Our department is committed to aid and support all law enforcement agencies as we jointly protect and serve our communities. The Bureau is divided into four separate sections: Crimes Against Persons, Crimes Against Property, Narcotics and Forensics.  Crimes Against Persons consists of Sex Crimes, Robbery, Homicide, Assaults and Domestic Violence. Crimes Against Property consists of Burglary, Fraud and Auto-Theft.

The Narcotics Division conducts investigations of all levels of narcotics traffickers.  The Forensics Unit consists of civilian personnel who have been highly training in conducting crime scene investigations.

Detectives are responsible for developing follow-up leads, locating additional suspects, victims and witnesses. Detectives also obtain search warrants, recover property, and participate in the courtroom judicial process.
