Deputy Police Chief Eric Hopley | |

Deputy Police Chief Eric Hopley started his law enforcement career with the Ontario Police Department in February 1985. Prior to coming to Ontario, he served as a police officer with the Upland Police Department for two years.
During his 20 years with the Ontario Police Department, Deputy Chief Hopley rose steadily through the ranks working every major division within the department. He was promoted to Captain in December 2003, and to Deputy Chief in October 2005.
Deputy Chief Hopley has a bachelor’s degree from the University of La Verne. He is a graduate from the prestigious Federal Bureau of Investigations National Academy in Qauntico, Virginia, and the Federal Bureau of Investigations Southwest Command College.
Deputy Chief Hopley works directly for Police Chief Doyle and assists him in planning, organizing, and directing the operations of the Uniform and Investigations Bureaus; and assumes command of the Ontario Police Department in absence of Police Chief Doyle, as assigned. |
