Ontario is governed by a five-member City Council with the Mayor serving as presiding officer at all City Council meetings. The Council also sits as the Ontario Redevelopment Agency.
Every even-numbered year, either a Mayor/Chairman and two Council/Agency members, or two Council/Agency members, the City Clerk and City Treasurer are elected to serve four-year terms. All Council/Agency members serve at large. |
