WELCOME to a meeting of the Ontario City Council. An agenda is available on the table at the rear of the Council Chambers.
- Anyone wishing to speak during public comment or on a particular item will be required to fill out a blue slip. Those blue slips must be turned in prior to public comment beginning or before an agenda item is taken up. The Clerk will not accept additional cards after that time.
- Comments will be limited to 3 minutes. Speaker will be alerted when they have 1 minute remaining, and when their time is up. Speakers are then to return to their seats and no further comments will be permitted.
- In accordance with State Law, remarks during public comment are to be limited to subjects within Council’s jurisdiction. Remarks on other agenda items will be limited to those items.
- Remarks from those seated or standing in the back of chambers will not be permitted. All those wishing to speak including Council and Staff need to be recognized by the Chair before speaking.

No agenda item will be introduced for consideration after 10:00 p.m. except by majority vote of the City Council.

AGENDA REVIEW/ANNOUNCEMENTS: The City Manager will go over all updated materials and correspondence received after the agenda was distributed to ensure Council Members have received them. B. Authorize the City Manager/Executive Director to execute the above contracts (on file with the Records Management Department), plus a 3% contingency of $117,425 which will be incorporated into the project wide contingency, and file notices of completion at the conclusion of all construction related activities.
C. Adopt the Redevelopment Agency Resolution authorizing Redevelopment Agency participation in the construction of a project identity sign and;
D. Adopt the Redevelopment Agency Resolution authorizing participation in the construction of the public parking lot (Parcel 12) serving the Piemonte project and other uses in The Ontario Center, and;

Award an annual Maintenance Services contract in the not to exceed amount of $800,000 for Calendar Year 2008 to Innerline Engineering located in Corona, CA for cleaning and television inspection of sanitary sewers, authorize the City Manager to execute the contract (on file in the Records Management Department), and renew for up to three additional periods consistent with the City Council approved budget.

Authorize the City Manager to execute a Maintenance Service Agreement (on file with the Records Management Department) with Advanced Sewer Technologies of Los Angeles, CA with an annual cost estimated to be $110,000 and the option to add future service areas and/or extend the Agreement for up to two additional years consistent with City Council approved budgets.

Authorize the City Manager to execute a Professional Services Agreement for preparation of design plans, specifications and construction management services with RJM Design Group of San Juan Capistrano, CA in the amount of $290,504 plus contingency and reimbursables (15%) for a total contract amount of $334,080 for the Ontario Town Center Square.

Award Contract No. PK 0708-06 to Vargas Structures of Whittier, CA for the expansion of the Anthony Munoz Community Center/Tiny Tot Room in the amount of $183,470 plus a fifteen percent (15%) contingency of $27,521 for a total cost of $210,991, authorize the City Manager to execute said contract (on file in Records Management), and authorize the filing of the Notice of Completion at the conclusion of all construction activities.

Approve A Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement (JPA) by and among the City of Los Angeles, City of Ontario, City of West Covina and the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) related to the SCAG Intra-regional High Speed Rail System Initial Operating System (IOS), and authorize the City Manager to sign the agreement.

Approve the plans and specifications and award PWA Contract No. UT 0708-06 for construction of the dry-year yield wellhead treatment facilities project to Pacific Hydrotech Corporation of Perris, CA for a bid amount of $7,885,110 plus a 15% contingency of $1,182,767 for a total amount of $9,067,877 and authorize the City Manager to execute said contract (on file with the Records Management Department).
B. Authorize the City Manager to execute a Professional Services Agreement (on file with the Records Management Department) with Carollo Engineers of Fountain Valley, CA for related construction management and inspection services for the project in the amount of $823,909 plus a 15% contingency of $123,587 for a total of $947,496.
C. Authorize the filing of the Notice of Completion at the conclusion of all construction activities related to the project.
